Father to Charlotte (9) and Wes (3) and husband to Katy - who loves my Zwifting way more than rescuing me from regular MTB mishaps.  An environmental engineer and endurance sports coach by day with a healthy addiction to training and racing. After years of ball sports, Chris discovered bike racing and competed in virtually every genre and distance, finally settling on XC mountain biking.  In 2016 he won the US Masters National Championship and proudly wore the stars and stripes. After over 10 years of mediocre results thanks to his disdain for structured training, Chris raced his way to a high level of fitness competing on Zwift.

During periods of injury (some related to bike riding), he took up ultra trail and marathon running but yearned for the sensation of riding bikes. Chris races as a Category 1 for a local bike shop. As useful as Zwift is a for training and racing, it’s the relationships that he developed that really keep him motivated to keep suiting up. As a pro indoor specialist, Chris hopes to inspire other masters riders to keep going fast. Getting older doesn’t make you slower, but not going fast sure does.
